This beautiful little micro bully boy is around 1–2 years old and despite everything life has thrown at him, he remains one of the sweetest dogs you could ever hope to meet.
He came into our care after being seized due to serious welfare concerns. To say he was poorly when he arrived would be an understatement, but thanks to lots of love, care, veterinary treatment and the dedication of his wonderful foster mum Dawn, he is now thriving. Watching this little lad bounce back has been incredibly special.
He is an absolute delight in the home. Clean, non-destructive and happy to sleep downstairs quietly through the night. He’s affectionate, funny and so eager to be loved.
He is also good with other dogs and could happily live with a calm, friendly canine companion.
Like many dogs who have had a difficult start in life, he does carry some learnt behaviours from his past. When he first arrived, he would grab hold of items in the garden and refuse to let go. Dawn has worked tirelessly with him and the improvement has been amazing — this behaviour is now much rarer and he responds very well to guidance. We also have a behavioural plan in place to support his future family, and we truly believe that with continued consistency and understanding this behaviour will stop . This behaviour is only outside the house never inside and is not aggression just over play.
Because of this behaviour, we are looking for an adult home or one with sensible children aged 12+.
Dexter can be left at home for a few hours but would not be happy in a home where he got left alone daily.
This little dog deserves so much more than the life he’s already experienced. He deserves safety, patience, kindness and a family who will worship him.
Somebody is going to be very lucky to call this tiny boy theirs ❤️
Dexter is not yet neutered as he’s too young but this will be done at our vets when he’s older.
