Buddy is an 8-month-old, stunning long-haired Border Collie who is sadly needing to come into rescue through absolutely no fault of his own. His current owner is simply unable to meet the needs of such an active, intelligent youngster due to sudden changes and has made the incredibly difficult decision to ask for our help.
Buddy really is a lovely, well-balanced pup who has had a fantastic start in life. He is crate trained, has already completed plenty of basic training, and is incredibly ball-mad – if you’ve got a tennis ball, you’ll have a best friend for life!
Like many adolescent Collies, Buddy can occasionally show a little lead reactivity towards other dogs. Interestingly, when he’s off lead, he happily ignores them. This is something that will need continued guidance and training, which is why we’re currently looking for a dog-free home where he can have all the time and attention he deserves.
Because Buddy needs to come into rescue as soon as possible, please don’t apply if you’re planning holidays or will be away over the coming weeks or months. We want him to settle once, with people who are ready to make him their priority.

Sadly, around 80% of applications are currently being declined because applicants haven’t read this information first. Many apply from outside our rehoming area or have cats, so please save yourself the disappointment by checking everything before applying. We also don’t accept applications that only have one word answers – we need to know all about you and your home.
